VAN AKEN DISTRICT
This mural was put up in the Van Aken District in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
It is meant to be uplifting and a reminder to support one another during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. Viewers can stand in front of the strongman arms and pretend they are apart of the mural.
The inspiration is Americana tattoos and vintage circus strongman posters. - the skin is blue on purpose so no groups of people feel that they were excluded from the project.
